Rebecca Ferguson seems to be coping just fine after coming second to Matt Cardle in The X Factor.

Making an appearance at London's International Boat Show earlier today (random?), Rebecca looked every inch the pop princess in a gorgeously embellished cream, gold and silver flecked dress.

Nails neatly manicured (French tips - classy!) and jewellery kept to a minimum, Rebecca let her stunning dress and statement hair piece do all the talking.

Having secured a £1m recording contract, X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson made sure she treated herself and her family this festive season.

The singer was spotted splashing the cash in Boudoir Boutique, in Liverpool's Cavern Walks shopping centre.

The mum-of-two bagged herself a new coat, two dresses, a Zandra Rhodes handbag and an electric blue Hayley Marsden headband, which she was later pictured wearing at her performance at the Harlequins vs London Irish rugby match at Twickenham.

Boudoir Boutique owner Amy Keating says: “Rebecca was lovely, and very complimentary about the store.

"She kept saying how much she loved the ‘Darling’ and ‘Aftershock’ collections we have just got in, and said the bits and pieces she had chosen were the first things she had purchased since leaving the X Factor.”

Rebecca has always been a regular at Cavern Walks, having worked at the Lucy in the Sky café before finding fame on the hit ITV talent contest.

Liverpool’s X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson has visited Boudoir twice in the past two days to buy herself some early Christmas gifts and a beautiful Hayley Marsden hat which she intends to wear in her first performance since the show on the 27th December at Twickenham stadium.

Pictured above Rebecca’s coat is from the Darling range which Boudoir Boutique stocks exclusively.

Rebecca, who has been a fan of the store for years chatted casually with staff and signed autographs for fellow festive shoppers.

Her stylish dress sense was called into question when she displayed a bizarre choice of headwear performing at Twickenham  last week.

But it seems Rebecca Ferguson has a penchant for outlandish hats as she stepped out in a white feathered number last night. 

Performing at Koco nighclub in her hometown of Liverpool, Rebecca sang to an excitable crowd in a demure white maxi dress.

She teamed the elegant outfit with a strange and rather large headwear item. 

The extravagant hat consisted of two huge white feathers, a folded segment and was embellished with an intricate gold and jeweled flower.

Just last week Rebecca took to the stage with fellow X Factor singer Matt Cardle and chose a bright blue pillar box hat which sprouted long blue feathers. 

The 24-year-old mother-of-two, packed out the dance-floor as she took to the stage and wowed the crowds by belting out her set to celebrate the New Year.

And despite the fruity headwear the singer looked stunning with smoky-eyed make-up and her white strapless dress flattering her curves. 

The X Factor star enjoyed herself and tweeted: ‘ Great crowd at koco loved it xxx happy new year’

Her home performance provided the perfect opportunity to end the year, which has seen her transform from a shy law student into the X Factor sweetheart with a stellar voice.

She posted: ‘I've had an amazing year and I hope next year is just as good I've never felt so loved thank-you to everyone who's made this year amazing xxx’

As well as having a new career to attend to this year Rebecca may also have found a new home for herself and her children, six-year-old Lillie May and four-year-old Karl. 

She has been house-hunting with her mum in the Liverpool area and tweeted that she had ‘found a lovely one.’

'I know there are a lot of stylists involved on the show, but she looks classy and elegant when

Since her first audition last summer, X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson has won over fans with her stylish dress sense. But it appears even fashionistas such as Rebecca can have an off day as she performed at a rugby game in a bizarre blue hat tonight. The mother-of-two's delicate features were overshadowed by her pillar box hat, which appeared to be sprouting long blue feathers over a foot long.

The Scouser, 24, belted out Show Me Love - which she performed on the X Factor semi-final - as she joined the programme's winner Matt Cardle at Twickenham stadium. The two X Factor finalists sang prior to the Big Game 3 between the Harlequins and London Irish in south west London. One fan at the game was clearly unimpressed with Rebecca's hat. Mark Nicolson wrote on Twitter: 'Rebecca Ferguson singing at eh rugby way eh. Stupidest hat ever.'
